Incorrect pricing in the store.
Hi.
My name is Ntandazo Mayika.
Good day.
I was @Shoprite WaterGate on the 18 June 2020 around 11h50 in Cape Town with my wife buying our essential needs. We saw a promotion of Pamapers nappies instore that's has been advertised for R120. We took 2 packs since we saw its cheaper than the normal price. As it stated all Diapers are R120 (Excluding Jumbo Packs). We got to the till point and it scanned R239 and the lady told me that it's not the ones. I went back to the promo area to look at the correct price for them. I even took a picture of the pricing that's there and the current nappies we had were not jumbo packs and it was a size 6 with 44 nappies in it. She sent one of her colleagues to check if it's the right price and she came back and confirmed that it is the right price is R120 as per. Then they call the manager to Authorize for the price. His is name is Grant. He told me straight in my face that he won't give the Nappies @R120 he because its error made in the store. As a customer I do not work in that I'm there to shop I only purchase according to the price I see and the displays. We drove all the way from Nyanga for nothing to receive a **** service from the manager. Is this how shoprite treat their customer for their own mistake?
Kindly assist on this before I take it to umbudsman.
I even took the picture of that product.
Kind regards Ntandazo ***
