*********** Staff, Policies and Procedures
On 26 March 2015 we made a deposit of R5000 with a cheque card at House & Home at Highveld Mall in Witbank, for some household items. However, we decided NOT to continue with the transaction and cancelled it and on 2 April 2015 we requested our deposit. We were informed by Sheila, one of the clerks at reception, that Shoprite will only be able to refund the deposit after 7 working days. We then requested a cash refund due to time constraints on our side. However our request was declined. On 14 April 2015, after waiting for 6 working days, we went to the H&H branch only to discover that nothing has been processed. We were assured by Wendy, a finance administration manager that the funds had all ready been transferred to our account. The next day our bank confirmed that no funds were transferred to our account.

Johan Muller, the Regional Manager of Shoprite, was contacted also during this process at which a transfer was also confirmed by him made by Shoprite, and that their bank (ABSA) has to release the funds. Today, 8 days later no transfer has been confirmed, neither ABSA or Shoprite.

No policies, procedures or feedback were honoured by Shoprite and ABSA staff. PLEASE HELP!!
Thank you for taking the time to contact the Shoprite supermarket chain.
