*********** receiving staff.

As a delivery driver, to be held up at any retail receiving area, cost us time . 1 box at any checkers or shoprite is a waiting time of 1 or more hours. Dare you have a lot of stuff that they have ordered, waiting time is now 4 , 5 , 6 hours. Receiving staff seem to think that their store is the only 1 we have for the day. Every single shoprite or checkers that we deliver to. No exceptions. Otherwise we get told they are doing us a favour . Really ? A favour ? No you are getting paid to do a job, so no favours .... Same like me and every other person on earth. Staff in receiving cant answer simple questions. What is going on . Why are they hiring people who have no clue what is going on in their own store. Then you get the receiving managers who will lir through their teeth. And the ones who will make personal calls while on duty at work. I got nothing against that, but to hear the conversations..... Like for example at the durban north store, the guy is asking his girlfriend over the phone why she gave him a disease when they slept together. I **** you not..... For a big company, the work ethic is pathetic. 1 day the guy is actually shouting at me HEYYYYY , like i dont wear a company shirt, or my vehicle is not branded with company name. I askedhim if this is his house or a place of business. Ill mannered , rude, and other words id rather not say. Before the looting of last year, Brookside was my favourite shop to go to. Now i wont spend my hard earned money in any of the stores because of the terrible way we are treated by the recieving staff. Also, brookside has the cleanest receiving area. Next would be stanger. After those 2, every other store ooooo my word. You receive food and drink in such terrible filth. Clean up your act. Otherwise hire competent friendly staff. Ive been to small family owned stores that would shame your giant retail company.
