Ill treatment from staff

<p>I went to shoprite today for shopping and forgot that I had a packet of orbit bubble gum in my hand bag which had only 3 bubble gums left in it. When the security found the bubblegum in my bag without being marked, he made me pay for another packet of bubble gum which I had no problem with because it was my fault.</p> <p>When I arrived at the till to pay for that packet of bubblegum the cashier at that till told me that she wasn't going to use speed point for me to pay for one item which cost only R6. We stood there with the security guard until the cashier allowed to assist me. As she was assisting me the security guard then kept on complaining about how they always tell us to mark items which are sold in the store before entering the store with them. I then told the security guy to leave me alone as I had already paid for the gum . He and the cashier then threatened me and said that I will no longer leave the store going home I'll be going to the police station to report me being beaten up by that security guard. I had no problem paying for the gum but him threatening me and telling me that I've bought free gum for him wasn't necessary. </p> <p>I then came back a few hours later to report the incident to the manager. She then told me that she had nothing to do with what security guards do but she'll talk to them about their attitude towards customers. I left the store without her doing that and the issue of the cashier refusing to assist me wasn't even touched. I'm really disappointed with their service.</p>
