1. Usave Zone 1 Seshego, Polokwane, Limpopo: The distance between the till point and the main entrance is less than 3 meters apart. I went there to buy bread, a coke and a tropica 2lt. I paid for the 3 items in front of the security guard who was positioned less than 3 mters away. There was one till open so she had clear view of the whole transaction. I paid and as I was to exit the store the security guard stopped me and wanted to see my till slip and and probable check if what i had was what I paid for. My irritation was she a mere 3 meters away she saw what I paid for she saw the whole transaction. I didnt make a scene . I gave her the till slip and left. I stood a meter outside to check if this was profiling or was nature of business. I noticed that almost everyone who comes out will have the security rumage through their goods and it made me wonder. It then that I noticed that the security guard has a box at where she was standing full of till slips which customers left behind as a sign of disdain and disgust of being trated like *******. Please note that I was not physically searched. And that to me was bizarre. If the store is so worried about stock loss what are the chances that I will leave with the ****** goods in a plastic and not hide it within my body. People came to the store and left without buying none of them where searched to check if they might have ****** something. The only ones who were had their goods searched were honest paying customers. Who is the potential ***** that the guard is trying to catch: the customer or employees? Are they the really cause of stockloss? You dont trust your own employees to such an extent that you will inconvenience your staff or all your customers are ******* that you have to hire a guard to go through their parcels? What about the real ******* who come in and leave without even buying anything? How do you catch them? I find this behaviour to be disgusting to say the least. ***
