Front end bad customer service.

Today I had a very bad experience at Shoprite Atteridgeville at the till points. It was 18:02 when I was waiting to pay at the till points and an old lady with a basket trolley was in front of me when she suddenly decided to go grab more items for herself. At that time the cashier was helping another customer when she shouted at me and demanded that I must come pay. As I stood there confused if she was talking to me coz she was just assisting another customer and the old lady with the trolley in front of me was on her way back so I didn't want to jump the line. I asked her if she was talking to me and she gave me attitude and asked if I wanted to pay or not. I then asked her if that was a way to speak to customers but she just looked at me and rolled her eyes back. She told me that it was her knock off time and apparently I was waiting it. I then asked to speak to her manager and she pointed at her and told me with confidence that she doesn't care if I go report to her manager coz she will tell me the same thing that it was home time. The manager came to the till to address the issue and you could see who was the manager and who was the cashier as she overpowered her and refused to apologize to me. She said that she will never apologize coz she did nothing wrong even after a few failed attempts from her manager. Shoprite has got a bad stigma of bad customer service and it has to stop. The cashiers need to be told that they are not doing us a favour at the till points but the other way around coz if we don't shop in their shop then there will be no customers to service. Shoprite needs to up their standards in terms of customer service like Checkers store or is it becoz the poor shop at Shoprite and the rich shop at Checkers and that is why the service at Shoprite is also poor? I demand a formal apology from that cashier and she needs to acknowledge that she was wrong.
