***** on Money Transfer at Shoprite U Save ( Branch: 41375) Thokoza Unit F
I sent R500 on 20 November 2017 (Time: 13:25:22) to Ms S. Mbatha through the Shoprite U Save Money Market in Thokoza Unit F (Cnr Palesa & Kagiso Str), but she never received it. Actually, she went to Nqutu Shoprite in KZN to withdraw the cash on the 22 of November 2017 and the recipient was told that the money had already been withdrawn.
I returned to Shoprite U Save and told the story to Money Market Tellers and they treat me with disrespect. They said go to police station and nothing we can do about your issue if you don’t have a case number. I went to police station without knowing what I’m supposed to do and police station send me back to them again to have more information about this matter like the name of the person withdrawn the money. I was like a boy on the swing, go to and fro, at last I managed to open a case. I went back U-save ask them what next, because I have a case number now. The store manager treat me bad, the fact she was rude by saying “we don’t have police station here, or crime department nothing we can do with the case number and go back to police station and give them that case number”. She was asking me why I open case and why didn’t report to them first. Surprisingly, I told her that one of your money market teller told me to do so. In a polite way, I told her that I need their help to trace or send information to Shoprite-Checkers head office to escalate the matter in order to find out how was the money end-up withdrawn at Free State. She just told me that that’s police duty with an attitude, then she left me in her office unattended. Another she said I have to go to Checkers Westdene, in Bloemfontein where the money was withdrawn by Nthabiseng Mene. The store manager was not willing to help me and after 20 minutes I left her office. Then, I went to Germiston Shoprite to seek an information what I can I do about this missing money and they helped me with the steps I have to follow in order this matter being escalated.
I have come to the decision that her company needs to be contacted and she be professionally reprimanded. This is an issue I feel that if left alone will continue to escalate.
