Food poisoning from Shoprite Wors

I ate a Wors that was bought from Shoprite West street Durban .. Wors was bought on Sunday the 2nd of May 2021 and I ate it on the 13 May 2021 , after consuming the worse I got sick and I thought I was dying I started getting sick on Saturday morning, Worse I Ate as my Dinner on Friday night . I got sick and I tried medication from the pharmacy nothing helped, I had to go to the doctor on Monday bcoz my condition was not getting any better , Doctor told me I have food poisoning... I knew very well last thing I ate .. I reported this from Shoprite same day I came from the doctor because even though I the doctor gave me antibiotics injection but my situation was still bad

My case was attended by Craig I explained everything and he even took the doctor’s details .. they went as far as taking the remaining Wors that I had so they could run their own tests ... maybe after a month of waiting to hear from them ..I was then attended by their claims department and offering to pay my medical expenses ( 700)I advised them that since I am self employed I did not only lose the R700 for the doctor I lost on income For that week and week after James who was handling my case told me that they only offered me R700 bcoz I did not give them proof of loss of income.. he requested my bank statement since I am self employed, after them seeing my bank statement they offered me R2500, I questioned the R2500 that how did they get into R2500 conclusion given my bank statement? I went as far as send them other supporting doccuments so they could see how I work and how much I invoice per week... they took another month to attend to that query.. and month of August they offered me R4500 which they say it Thier final offer, I wrote them another email.. Shoprite took my personal business account and invaded my privacy and I didn’t mind .. after doing so they come back offering me monies I don’t understand where and they concluded on them.. They know how much I invoice per week ,I told them I had to decline work that week because I was not well. And this morning they sent me email below

As we do not know where the Contamination took place, the offer we made is giving you the benefit of the doubt and should be seen as a gesture of goodwill. We will not extend the offer to include loss of earnings.

Please complete the attached Release and return same to us, for us to settle this matter.

They took the Wors to test till today they never gave me their results on it, they took my bank statement so they could see how much income I have lost . I am not accepting R4500 I repeat they do have my bank statement they know how much +- I invoice per week , I even mention to them that ever since I ate their Wors my tummy is constantly loose

I have told them I will seek Legal advise so that the Quantum offered to me is done fairly

Maybe they think I am looking for their Millions Nooo all Is income lost while I was sick with their wors
