Food Poisoning

My wife bought frozen chicken livers from Shoprite and cooked them last Thursday and they were so nice. I had them at home for breakfast the next day and later took them for lunch as I was working night shift. I got to work and immediately had my lunch. Just after that I had stomach cramps and diarrhea. After a few lose stools I started vomiting all the food I had. My boss told me to go home cause he saw me sick. I got home and my wife was having the livers for supper. I vomited a couple of times again with diarrhea. At midnight my wife woke me up with the same problem. Now we were fighting for the toilet as we were both sick. The next morning we went to see our doctor and he told us we have food poisoning from the chicken livers. It could be that the product lost cold chain temperature and it was packed on the shelves like that. We lost 4 days of work and had to pay R400 each for consultation and medication which is R800 in total. I would like to be reimbursed my money as it was not planned and please give me some evidence that the cold chain temperature process is followed by the branch.
