Faulty Iron from Shoprite

My granny bought an iron from Shoprite Mt edgecombe, it's an essentials iron and the iron just recently blew up in a flame, my granny quickly rushed to go in plug it had she not done that the fire would have caught the plugs, the towel she was ironing on got burnt, and the carpet because it caught fire in her hand and she dropped it. There is no receipt for the iron, but essentials is a ShopRite product. ShopRite mt edgecombe has not been able to help me.
