False advertising & Poor Customer Service

<p>Shoprite Southfield Store Western Cape adverti*****t within in the store states "NESTLE CERELAC BABY CEREAL R26.99" At the till point I ask the cashier to double check the price as I want to take a couple of boxes due to the special, she scans she tells me its R36.99. She then calls a manager who doesn't even come to the till point but shouts from a distance to say its only for beginner cereal, I tell the manager thats not what it states on your shelf, she replies "YA BUT IT'S ADVERTISED IN THE PAPER" 1. That's not how any staff member should speak to any customer. 2. If a special is on a shelf that is the price a customer should get it for. 3. False advertising is wrong in so many ways & there are legislations that protect customers against false advertising. Please note i did take a picture of the advertisrment on the shelf. I'm a very unhappy shoprite shopper & hope to hear feedback soon. </p>
