Exploited by Shoprite

I won’t forget the day the admin manager called me to start “training “ the next day and explained that the contract will be signed on the Tuesday. She explained that training was for 3 days then I will then start working as a till packer, day 2 of training came and went without me signing the contract and was given a form to have it stamped at the bank, on the last day of training I asked about the contract and I was told that they were not hiring, after 3 days of work me working throughout the store, I then found out that I was actually filling in for people who hadn’t been at work while they were short staffed. According to the South African labour law, work without pay is *******, I believe that there should be some sort of remuneration for the work done. I took my last money going there just to be exploited, I should’ve just used that money to feed my baby
