expired long life milk

Bought the Shoprite brand of long life milk in the Freedom Park branch, the expiry date of the milk is 03/11/2018. When I opened it last night the milk was off and chunks of milk was coming out of the milk. The milk was standing in my fridge so i fail to understand how it went off yet the expiry date stipulates on the carton 03/11/2018, we are only in February so how is it that the milk is off? i am disgusted by the Shoprite brand and i dont think i will ever buy a Shoprite brand again!
