Dissatisfaction of service
This afternoon I entered shoprite store Umngeni Road KZN with intent to make some purchases as well as withdraw a Capitec Cash send. I stood in line for some minutes as it was a busy time of the day, when my turn eventually came I told the cashier my desire to make a withdrawal to which I responded by asking her to request the funds from her cash office, she insisted that I go to till number 6 , i asked her would I know have to stand in line again, she responded by saying I should walk in from so that I don’t have to. Upon arriving at the said the the lady told me yes she has cash but that I would have to stand in line again, I returned to the original where an lady who was packing for the first cashier I dealt with started looking for tills that would have the amount I needed and all this while I am walking around in the shop she eventually too gave in because lady at till was the only one who had the amount and she refused to let me in and insisted that I wait in line (a que that was not short), when I expressed that that was not a fair ask the lady tried involving the manager, she too approached the lady at till 6 and she still insisted that I go in line, this after I had stood line before on another till. I don’t why retail stores would agree to bank partnerships if they cannot provide adequate services. I eventually left without getting the funds and also cancelled whatever purchases I intended on making. Also in situations like these before cash would be requested from the manager who would do the running around or get the funds from the cash office. I wish to express that I felt utterly disrespected as a customer and being treated like fool. Not to mention that my partner had wanted food from the deli and had also suggested peri chicken livers because they’re a favourite dish that I refused because the hygiene of the store was not satisfactory.
