Subject: Complaint About Poor Customer Service at Shoprite Morula Centre

Dear Shoprite Management,

I am writing to formally complain about the poor customer service I experienced at Shoprite Morula Centre on Leah Mangope Highway on [29/01/25] around 14:35.

I was in the store to purchase refreshments and joined the queue at the "Less than 10 Items" checkout. Despite there being more than six available tills, only two cashiers were operating. While waiting in line, I noticed Shoprite staff members and other contractors in blue work suits—along with a female who appeared to be a supervisor—skipping the queue to be served without asking or excusing themselves.

This is highly unprofessional and unfair to paying customers who take time out of their day to shop. Employees who are at work should have a dedicated checkout process rather than inconveniencing customers. When I questioned this, the cashier, Dineo Elizabeth Pooe, responded with attitude and an unsatisfactory explanation. Her overall service was poor and did not reflect proper customer care.

I kindly request that this matter be addressed. Customers deserve respect and fair treatment, and store policies should ensure that employees do not disrupt regular operations. Please take the necessary steps to prevent this from happening again.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Sincerely, [Peter Mashamaite] [***]
