Disappointed and ******

Went to shoprite centurion mall yesterday. Wanted to buy the 99r promo and when i got to the till it did not subtract and they moved me from till to till where by i ended up paying full price instead of R99. I feel so ****** why do they advertise promo yet make us pay full price? Is shoprite misleading us?
