BLACK-SERVICE

<p>I visited the Attlyn Shopright, after I had paid my items I walked out of the shop. I saw a lot of people on the doors and a que, so I saw the one door was emptier, so I walked out through that door as I was in a hurry. So I heard a voice calling out but did not pay attention to it. Then this security man (Mike Mabaso) rushed to me and grabbed me like I had ****** something. Then he rudely said that I must walk back into the shop and use the other door. I refused and showed him my slip. He started pointing his finger on my face and continued speaking rudely to me. So I told him I’m not going to walk back into the shop and requested he stop pointing his finger on me and move away so I can walk away. He refused and continued. So I asked back into the shop and looked for his or Shopright manager. I was assisted by Belito Gemba, I explained what happened and he walked with me to the door, then the security guard continued to speak rudely to me, in front of his manager. I asked the manager how he was going to fix this and instead of sorting the situation he started signing the slips of the other customers and said the will investigate. So I asked him what is he going to investigate, then he explained that he can’t give the guard a waning (as I had requested) coz there is a process. Then I felt that he was not solving my problem, I asked for the company’s number. He gave me this number 060 ********** (Mike). Then I left. I believe that I was treated like this because the shop is in a black neighbourhood and most of it customers are black. I am disappointed in the fact that shopright managers did not care enough to handle this matter as I had spoken to one of them and he pointed me to the security manager. Had it been in a white area I would have gotten better treatment. I wonder why is it that when you go to white area shops them don’t want to see your slip but in black only areas they do. Are they saying black people only ***** and whites don’t?</p> <p> </p>
