Bad shopping experience at shoprite tzaneen crossing

Yesterday (04 August 2025)around closing time i had a frustrating experience at Shoprite tzaneen crossing. I was shopping for groceries when I encountered a trolley that wasn't working properly. It was a small trolley with 2 buckets,I had to swap it,with a big trolley which was a minor inconvenience. In my hands is a winter bomba jacket and an overnight bag, inside the big trolley I've put the bucket (1) that i was using before swapping the trollies and inside the basket is small Rite brand polony and baby soap only,then due to being tired from. The long trip i took my jacket and put it on top of the red busket so that i can able to do shopping meaning the jackets is cover the busket then i continued shopping inside the big trolley However, things took a turn for the worse at checkout. I paid for my groceries four hundred and something (R400)but unfortunately i forgot about the 2 items inside in the basket because the jacket covered it,As I was leaving the store, I gave the security the receipt as usual he did the checking,so he lifted the jacket and found the busket and those 2 items I forgot, I tried explaining to the security the problem I had with their trolley and I had to swap now I forgot about those 2 items because i was no longer using the busket and still is covered by the jucket,Despite my explanation, I was treated poorly and felt embarrassed,he called for another security and they took me to the manager and still the manager didn't take my story of forgetting she said they must arrest me,I'm claiming. Going to the CCTV office,the security explained the story and I explained how it happened,the CCTV footage lady only checked the time I was at till point,she didn't bother to check how I entered,how I did my shopping and how I missed to pay those 2 items,I was embarrassed, everyone watching me, cashier's left the job and looks at the "shoplifting lady" with a baby on my bag, doing up and down with the baby on my bag,if it wasn't because of their poor trollies i wouldn't have experienced that, I was treated badly and my image and personality were violated,I feel like something needs to be done,i never wanna set my foot again at shoprite tzaneen crossing ever again their service is poor,later after the up and down they said I should go the till and pay and I had no problem with that because I needed those items but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The security personnel's approach was unprofessional, and I felt like I was being presumed guilty without being given a chance to explain. I hope Shoprite takes steps to improve their customer service.
