Bad service for employees

Last year Dec ; i app**** for a job at Shoprite. Early Jan 2019 i received a call that i should come to Protea Glen shoprite.

I went there and i meet with Nomfundo store manager who advised me to come on sat to sign my contract. I came there but she was not available and did not leave the contract ( Assistant Baker)with Portia as per our agreement

After three day i called the store and she told me that all positions gave been freezed. After two months i received a call that i shoud come sign the contract when i arrive there it was for a till packer.

Because i was desperate and did not have any income even though i have a diploma from UJ, I took the Job.

Colleagues who were hired before me informef me that; i have two work for four day without any payment then work again another two weeks and be paid only on the fourth week for only one week that is 800. Just imagen to work for the whole month and be paid one week salary for first month? Why is new staff on training not being paid for training even if it can be half? Rate is 20 per hour why not 10 atleast?

This issue should be addressed with ceo of shoprites as we are being taken for a ride. I even brought a long sleeve white shirt as thy dont provide us with uniform.

This is totally rediculous. Thy need black shoes and white shirt where will one get them from? Then you get paid after 3 weeks only for one week? Thats why i resigned. Or must i say absconded. ********** 680
