Bad Service
Just Before 2pm on the 10/05/15 I transfered money through Shoprites Money Transfer service. I preceeded to send the number to the collector and accidentally sent 1 number short. On The 11/05/15 I was notified that I needed to resend the number but misplaced the receipt. When I went back to the branch to request a reprint with my I D that I sent the money with I was told I have to go to the Police station to get an affadavid. I fail to see the logic of this practise surely each individuals account is treated as seperate that is why the person's I D is scanned. Iam currently waiting in store because according to shoprite's Management they can't look upt information needed the affadavid needs to be faxed to head office and looked up from there side. Clearly based on what I've seen online this is not the actual policy and I will not be using the service again
Thank you for taking the time to contact the Shoprite supermarket chain.
We are sorry to hear of your unfortunate experience after misplacing your Money Transfer information. In the interest of good customer service, the details of your experience will be brought to the attention of the relevant department.
As a money transfer is a financial transaction, regulations require that specific information be provided in order for the reference number to be resubmitted to the sender. It is, however, important to note that the safeguarding of the money transfer information remains the responsibility of the sender and must never be shared with anyone other than the intended recipient. We will ,however, follow up in order to assist in resolving this matter soonest.
We thank you for taking the time and effort to communicate with us. It is only with the help of concerned customers such as yourself that we are better able to continuously strive to improve the overall shopping experience of our customers.
Kind regards
