BAD REPAIR CENTER

My wife has a sewing/tailor business, just started about a year ago, she purchased a OTTIMO STEAM IRON MODEL.CEA-12-01(SR- ********** ) AC230V,50HZ 2200W. This was only for ironing delicate Garments which was done on request by clients. Iron stopped working about 2months ago, so she went in to shoprite to get it repaired. its was 4 -6 weeks when she had to pick up steam iron and was told they could not repair the item, i asked her didnt they offer her a new 1, been steam Iron still under 1year warranty. She said no, and also said the lady was very Unmannered /rude who assisted her. Asked her where is Iron and reciept, She threw reciept away because it was of no use, but said she will take Iron to a friend to repair it. i said no problem. Called my friend to come over and repair iron, he opened iron infront of me, showed me the Guys tried to fix iron but Ripped out the LIVE wire and could not put it back in.Then i was Furious, my friend said nothing much he can do..but have a cheap steam iron at home and will lend us. My wife's business just started to take off and she lost already 6 weeks of Ironing money,that very UNPROFESSIONAL of shoprite to pull such a stunt. Purchased my wife a Russels Hobbs irons. Will NEVER EVER PURCHASE A OTTIMO APPLIANCE AGAIN FROM SHOPRITE OR EVEN RECOMMEND THE APPLIANCE TO FRIENDS
