Attitude and being told to count cents

I had a bad experience today I am not person who causes drama. Correct me if I am wrong but does the customer have to count the money whilst the cashier gets paid to do it. I am highly disappoint by the attitude that I received from cashier her name is Nonjabulo Ndlovu in ShopRite that is in Brick hill road south beach . Do we as customers have to count cents with the cashier present? Respect goes both ways whether you're the customer or the cashier.
