Atrocious Service at Shoprite Actonville

On the 01/08/2018 I decided to go to Shoprite in Actonville with my 3 month old baby. When I got there, it was queue galore as always. This store is synonymous with long queues. I picked up my three items that I was purchasing and of course went to checkout. I stood in the queue for about 15 minutes (there is no express queue) when it was finally my turn to pay. To my surprise, here comes this woman claiming that she had been in the queue and was travelling with another woman who had left the queue to fetch bread. This of course ensued into an argument between myself, and this woman that was obviously trying to push into the queue. Long story short, the cashier then comes to this woman’s defence telling me, and the rest of the people that had been patiently waiting in the queue that this woman was at her till earlier and told her that she needed to draw money and evidently do her shopping while the cashier holds a place for her in the queue. The shock. I told the cashier that that was not a fair business practice as we could then all not wait in the queue and just ask the cashiers to queue for us. The cashier whose name is Yolanda September (as per the manager’s information) proceeded to tell me to shut up or else she would skip me and not assist me, as this was her till and she could do whatever she wants. I was horrified. She then proceeded to talk to her till packer telling her how she could hit people until her hands become sore. I took this as a threat to my baby and myself. One needs to deal with long queues, bad service from cashiers and fear that one might be attacked. Shoprite in general has very poor service but for a cashier to threaten to beat me and tell me that she would not assist me is beyond bad service. Clearly this store has no care for customers and it is run by **** cashiers.
