10 cent change

Okay, so I have been quiet regarding this. And this time I chose not to mention it to the till operator as I usually do. The 10 cent issue. When your change is an amount and 10 cent, they DO NOT give the 10 cent. Is it a shoprite thing? Why is there float that a till operator receives before signing in with a packet of 10 cents but the 10 cents are not given back to the customer??? The amount of 10 cents at the end of the day ..how much does it come to? And where is it taken to? If I come short of that 10 cent I won't be assisted. Is it a company policy or what? Because I am really tired of asking for my 10 cent all the time.

I experience this in the Shoprite at Jewel City. And it is not the only shoprite I have experienced this at. Hence I am asking is it a Shoprite policy not to give clients 10 cents change?
