Upset customer

On Sunday around 4 pm I went to shoprite, bought a few things. Later went to the kiosk for a box lunch f ciggeret. Their system went off line while I was paying and they told me it will revers. With no proof but they asked asked for my long card details which were written on a book. Is this even correct? The lady explained to me that I will get it tomorrow and continued to insist even after I told them that I still need money to go home and also to buy the little one pampers. A manager also came out not sure if it was Sbisi I was too upset to check. But she was also very demeaning and when I asked for a way forward she left and went to her office. How do shops write our long card numbers in a book and also expect you to pay again without even giving you a receipt that the reversal will go through? I’m beyond livid. I’ve been shopping here for over 3yeats and today they gave me quite a bad impression
