Very unhappy with the return policy

I am very unhappy and disappointed... I got 2pair of boots on 18/06/2019 I was very happy with both however I wore one pair on 19/06/2019 and I was not happy at all they were very uncomfortable and hurting my feet. I took them back on 20/06/2019 and advised that they can't take them back because I wore the shoes. I told the lady I'm not denying that I wore them but they are hurting me. What must I do with shoes that are hurting me? I didn't want my money back I advised that I can take another pair of shoe but the ladies said no they can't take them back. This was shoe city in randburg square. I feel like taking the other pair back as I am not happy with their service at all I know I have 7days to take a product back if I'm unhappy.
