Same old bad service to black people when returning goods

The Buccaneer school shoes do not have half sizes so my child fitted both size 5 and 4. Size 5 was too big and 4, a fitting size. We bought size 4 but she got blisters on both feet. In an attempt to return the shoes, the service received was beyond bad. I cannot believe black people still receive the same bad treatment when returning goods. Firstly the lady was adamant she can't assist us because the shoes were bought with a debit card. The next thing, the shoes were scrutinized, only a microscope was missing. I confirmed the shoes were worn and my child has blisters to prove that. She took a picture of the bottom of the shoes and said she is sending them to her manager for advice. At the end, I left that branch (the Glen) with the shoes.

Thanks to the Eastgate branch, we managed to return them and got the refund.

I stay in Joburg South and the Glen is my nearest branch, do i have to drive all the way to Eastgate to receive proper and decent service?
