Going NO mile for a customer!

On the 23rd June 2017 I went to Shoe City Parow East to return a shoe which I have for two months and is now damaged ( manufactured fault). When i got to the store with the boot I explained to the consultant that I don't have the receipt but it was purchased on my account. He then told me unfortunately they won't beable to assist me as I need proof that I purchased it at that store. I asked if my account statement would be proof enough, he said yes but I need to print it. Instead of printing it i downloaded the Ackermans app and went back to him, he then said no it needs to be printed because they need to keep that proof.

I then decided that I'm tired of the up and down called customer service department. I spoke to a Selena, who gladly assisted me. I explained to her that I don't understand how as an account customer they can make me go through so many things. She then lodged a compliant for me and called me back with a reference number and then told me that I will be called back in three working days. Five working days later I called and was told that there was no store mentioned when the complaint was escalated to the necessary department which of causes I don't feel was my problem as a customer.

I then asked the consultant if they understand the meaning of the saying " going the extra mile" because there were so many ways the could have solved the issue of which store it was e.g. calling me , listening to the call which was recorded or call the consultant which felt with me but non of those things were even considered up until I called a week later.

She then apologised and asked if she could transfer me to a supervisor I said that's okay. I explained everything to Tracey again, who then said she will find out what happened and give me a call back. It's been another week later and nothing!

I am highly annoyed at this point and would like this matter resolved and the shoe to be credited from my account!

Nicole Scheepers
