Damaged and wont take return

I bought a pair of boots on Friday 12 June 15 for R379.95. I took the box from the bottom of the pile assuming it wont be worn or damaged! Come Monday I took them out the box to wear them I see the front is damaged and they looked worn. So I went back to the store and showed them, before I could say anything the cashier (THE SAME ONE WHO HELPED ME ON FRIDAY) got all defensive and called the manager. They refused to change the shoes. So now I don't want an exchange I want my money back, and this is not the first time they gave attitude, on Friday I waited 5 minutes for service when I had to find someone. She actually said wait I'm coming I'm busy. I will never go to that shop again. I'm very dissapointed.
