Avoid Shocking Sun – Terrible Experience and No Accountability

If I could give zero stars I would.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using Shocking Sun to think twice before handing over any money.

We paid our deposit at the end of March 2026 for a solar installation, and since then it has been one excuse after another. The owner has repeatedly failed to honour commitments, missed deadlines, and provided countless reasons as to why the installation cannot proceed.

Communication has been extremely poor, with long periods where the owner simply disappears and becomes unreachable. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter amicably, we have received neither the installation we paid for nor a refund of our deposit.

The situation has now escalated to the point where we have had to involve lawyers in an effort to recover our money.

As a customer, this has been a stressful and frustrating experience. Based on our experience, I would NOT recommend using this company or any other company associated with the name or his cellphone number. If you are considering paying a deposit, just don’t.
