Taking others belongings

Im Peter i live at my friends house.My friend owns a lawyer money and the lawyer send the sheriff to his house to write up some things and i told the sherriff the couches belong to me .About 1 month after they arrived again to collect the couches and i told them again the couches belong to me not my friend.The sheriff told me to go to the police station to get a affidavit they will wait i then went and got a affidavit and went back and then they were gone with my couches i then too it to there office and they said they will return the couches but nothing hap-pend now for 4 weeks i went to police station to open a case then they refused and then a went to small claims court went back for sherriff to sign but his never available.Please can some body advice me Wat to do.
