SHERIFF OFFICE (HALFWAY HOUSE) POCKETED MY PAYMENT CHANGE

I am very disappointed with the Sheriff Office at Halfway House in Midrand. I submitted my case to the Sheriff Office at Halfway House in Midrand on 25 April 2022 intending it to be an emergency but the defendant was outside the country and could not be served. The cost for emergency was R800,00 of which I paid by EFT same day to receipt no. 168/E2. Defendant came into the country and we went together to receive and sign the summon. The walk-in-summon signing by then was not about R250,00 they told me the day I paid the R800,00, but for that walk-in-summon signing on 14 June 2022, Sheriff Office at halfway House charged me R364,68 towards Sheriff Ref. 22/04/2147 signing. Mrs J. Geldenhuys signed to confirm this payment and the first EFT payment was confirmed to be received by the receptionist. I asked for my changed but was told to give banking details because they do not pay cash. Since that day of 14 June 2022 the case has been concluded but I made three follow-ups to the Sheriff Office at halfway house giving the same information and not getting my refund.
