No Treat

After a show at the State Theater we decided to treat ourselves to coffee and cake at the Sheraton Hotel across the Union buildings. <br> <br> We expected the cake to be rather expensive considering the venue, however we didn't expect such a bad experience. <br> <br> We asked the waiter which cakes were available and since he wasn't sure he checked with the chef. After about 5 minutes, he came back and told us the chef needed a bit more time and he took our coffee order in the mean time.<br> It took about 10 min for our coffee to arrive, but still no news on the cakes. Eventually (about 20 min since we asked), we were giving a choice of three kinds of cake. We ordered 3 pieces of cheese cake and one piece of carrot cake.<br> <br> Both the cheese cake and the carrot cake were dried out. In fact, two pieces were left half eaten on the plates.<br> <br> When we mentioned it to the waiter, he was apologetic, but did nothing further.<br> <br> Certainly not the kind of quality one is expecting of such an establishment !
