This was my Original Review done on Google about Shelly Beach Pawn Brokers.

I write this review with a very heavy heart of sorrow, I made a deal with Shelly Beach Pawn Brokers to trade in 2 of my vehicles with a Cash Difference to buy a Vehicle they had for sale. I dealt with Paul and he got me exactly what I wanted. I moved to Cape town and unfortunately the Car Broke down and had to stand in my garage for a while until I got money to have it fixed. in the mean time the license had also expired and I waited until the car was fixed to have the car placed in my name and for That I needed a roadworthy Certificate, once I got to that point I was told by the Road worthiness center that my beloved car had a different engine in...... Instant Shock as none of this information was ever mentioned to me. so at this point I have no way to contact the previous owner as this information was private according to Paul, and having contacted SBPB now they cannot find anything except for the invoice... I am now sitting with a vehicle that potentially has a ****** engine in and no one to accept responsibility as I was simply told that this was one of Paul's deals and they cannot help. I am probably partly to blame as I "never checked the engine number myself" thank goodness everyone else out there knows how to to this. So as a warning to future buyers..... please make sure you check the engine numbers and VIN numbers corresponds on vehicle and on registration papers.

Afterward they did contact me and I explained to them my Frustration and I was promised a resolution and a call back. this has now been a couple of Months now and they have never called me back. Their way of Business has cost me in the excess of R6000 to rectify. and no ownership has been taken for their neglect.
