Urgent Attention Required: Fuel Mishap at Shell Lambton

On April 24, 2025, I visited the Shell garage in Lambton, Germiston, to refuel my Nissan NP200 with diesel. Despite the diesel cap having a clear "diesel" sticker, the petrol attendant mistakenly poured petrol instead. I drove off unaware of the mistake and covered approximately 70km to work & back home before the car started giving me issues and eventually switched off completely.

Upon discovering the error, I reported the incident to the station manager, who sent a mechanic to drain the fuel. However, the car continued to experience problems, including random switching off, even after the fuel system was drained and refilled. The issue persists, with the diesel pump malfunctioning and requiring manual pumping to restart the vehicle.

I am extremely frustrated with the lack of progress in resolving this matter. The station manager promised to provide feedback on sending my car for insurance assessment, but I have to constantly follow up with him. I am not happy with the lack of timely feedback from the manager. And the ongoing issues with the vehicle pose a significant risk to my safety on the road.

I urge the management of Shell Lambton to take immediate action to address this issue and provide a satisfactory resolution. As a customer, I expect a higher level of service and support, especially considering the potential danger this situation poses.
