Treated like a ********
On Saturday the 10th of November i had a very dissatisfying experience at my local fuel station,i say local because its 2minutes away from home and i fill there ,So my mum just collected her new car which arrived from jhb at around 7:30pm ..So we went for a test drive and the fuel light came on ,i stopped at the garage and was warmly welcomed by the attendant as he knew myself and my mum who is a frequent customer also ,so after filling I realised my wallet was in my car but didn’t think much about it as i normally use apple pay whenever im out ,after tapping my phone twice I realised they don’t accept Apple Pay ,I couldn’t understand such a big established does not accept that method of payment because i have used it at pop up stores worth a fraction of SHELL ,i only filled R100 so i asked the attendant if i could drop my mum off at home ,fetch my car and come back to pay and he was happily to allow it ,He then stopped me because the cashier was not happier with that arrangement and treated me like a ********,I explained that three attendants at the fuel station know me and where i work but she ignored me and continued to eat her supper while i spoke ,She insisted i leave my phone which is worth R20 000 until i come back an pay the R100 ,i saw there was no point arguing with her so i left my phone ,collected my car and came back immediately to pay my outstanding amount,I explained to her and the attendant that I didn’t appreciate the way in which i was treated and for a mere R100 i will never be filling fuel at that station along with my mum who also fills at that station twice a week ,I really feel i should not have been treated that way by an establishment that does not accept a method of payment that is accepted all over the world
