Terrible service at Windfarm from Anele
Last night I went to Shell Windfarm (Eastern Cape, N2 between Port Elizabeth and Jeffreys Bay) on arrival an attendant approached me, and the normal conversation took place. After he started pumping diesel, he started washing my windscreen but after soaping the windscreen he disappeared, a while after the pump shut down, I blew my horn because I had no idea where he went and why I got left alone with a windscreen full of soap. I got out of my vehicle and took the nozzle out of my tank and returned it to the pump and I closed my filler cap, after standing in front of the vehicle waving arms trying to receive attention, I realized that he was in a conversation with what looks like a friend, he then returned to me and very upset I asked him he just left and his response was that the person he was talking to still owed him money for fuel.
So how does an attendant leave a client in the payment process to start with a new client to leave this client again and return to the first client? I honestly cannot say that I have seen them exchanging money but I could be wrong, I am also sure that when I arrived he came from the building and not another vehicle. Anele (the attendant) was very arrogant when I got upset about this and it took him about 5 tries to get the payment done.
Is this the new service I can expect from Shell? I am used to be treated properly and when there is a queue you wait and get all the attention from the attendant, normally when the garage is busy they will advise that they are going to start with the next client while we wait, and they are normally back before my tank is full. Staff are normally friendly and Anele is the first arrogant person I have met at a Shell garage.
I really hope that this is not the new service I can expect from Shell
