Fuel mix-up

ear Shell Customer Service Team,

I am writing to express my disappointment and seek urgent assistance regarding an incident that occurred at the Shell Garage located at 122 Barbara Road in Germiston.

On [date of the incident], I visited this station with an empty tank and specifically requested R150 of V-Power diesel. Unfortunately, the attendant mistakenly filled my vehicle with 95 petrol. Upon noticing the error, I questioned him about it, and he assured me that diluting the tank with an additional R200 of diesel would resolve the issue. Trusting his experience, I agreed to proceed with his suggestion and increased the amount to R200. However, after driving only about 20 km, my vehicle broke down.

I returned to the station and asked for a detailed report on the incident. Later, I received a call from the manager, who informed me that Shell would not take responsibility for the damages. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to reach out to Shell customer service and the garage directly, but to date, I have not received a response. Meanwhile, I have been forced to incur substantial costs on daily Uber rides due to the breakdown, further increasing my frustration with this situation.

As a long-standing customer, I am deeply disappointed with the lack of support and response from Shell. I am urgently requesting Shell to review this incident and take appropriate action to cover the repair costs and additional expenses incurred due to this fuelling error.
