False advertising ???

I'm not sure if this is false advertising or what. I've been receiving these emails after refueling at Shell, such as:

"Your feedback matters to us at Shell. Answer a short survey and stand to win a R1000 fuel voucher."

I have entered the competition a few times because of the prize, of course. However, I started wondering when this competition closes since it has been running for quite a while. When I checked, it says:

"The Promotion runs from 00:00 GMT on 15 July 2022 to 23:59 GMT on 14 January 2024."

The competition is closed, yet they are still sending emails as if it’s open. Why would Shell, a big company, not just find another way to get customer feedback instead of misleading people and hoping they won't notice? And if they do, they can't do anything about it.I sent an email inquiring about this, and, as expected, I received no response. No surprise there.

This shows that no company is above questionable practices.
