Disgusting service

So today I visited Shell garage in Tokoza, Alberton, 1426 the one by Shoprite centre. Upon my arrival my petrol range was 10km i decided to pour R100 which is about 4 litres, after refueling my range or gauge did not increase. I left thinking maybe it will increase a bit along the way, I travelled for about 500 meters then I noticed my range had dropped to 5km, I returned to the garage and informed them of my encounter just to make sure they had actually poured petrol and I was assured that it will pick up as I continue journey as I was going to the mall with my son, while I was there another client was complaining about the same issue and she was also told to travel as the gauge will pick up. I then said I will monitor it but if it doesn’t pick up I will return to them fix the matter. I travelled to mall which is about 3km from the garage. On my way there my range dropped to 0km as I began to panick. I returned to the garage and I was told there was nothing they could do as the manager is not around. I asked for the managers contact details and was given. I called the manager by the name of Mohammed, which he told me that cars on reserve usually do this. I told him I’ve poured R100 before while my car is on reserve and it usually gives me a range of about 70km, why does this supposed to happen on this particular garage? He then told me I had travelled after pouring so they won’t refund me. So my question to him was how can R100 be depleted after 5km? He told me to pour again I will see that the gauge picks up. To myself I said this guy is playing games with me, now I must waste another R100 just to prove a point to him? I ended the call and left frustrated and went to another garage and poured R100, my range picked up to 75km. So how can R200 in total give me a range of 75km? It usually gives me about 140km. So I was ********** and it seems like they’re used to doing this to clients, especially those with cars that don’t show the range. I’m so disappointed that how such a huge company does this clients especially in the economy that we live in at the moment? Just because we’re in the township means we don’t notice anything? The manager was so rude and didn’t even apologize or anything but was just trying to be a car specialist upon my complaint. I will never return to this garage and I hope people do not support such a terrible garage. The staff was so kind and tried their best to assist but they couldn’t because management was not around.
