Complaint
Hi Peter,
This is my experience . on Monday,13August 2018 I went to a shell garage on R82 Eikehof on the highway leading up to Eye of Africa Golf Estate I went in to pour oil for my car which was done politely and professionally ,I then proceeded to make my way home to Orange Farm about 45 mins away from the garage as I parked my car then noticed an awful smell and smoke coming out of my enegen I then opened it to find that my oil cap was not in place and had fallen out of place, I looked and I was able to find the cap in the engine , I went back to the garage in the morning to lay a complaint,The manager at the facility investigated the footage and found that the car attendant had not closed the cap ,we then made arrangements for a free oil refill and free engine wash just opposite the Shell garage which he organize for me , I then proceeded to the car wash then washed the engine while the car was idoling to avoid any damage, however after the wash my car couldn’t start ,I proceeded to contact a service provider to tow my car after4 attempt to start the car with the proffetionally trained service providers ,Meanwhile I got a chance to speak to the owner(Mr Mohamed) who was rude and refused to acknowledge the further damaged that my car has suffered as a result from the oil spill and a further R450 I had to take out for the towing , I have made contact with an electrician to investigate any car damage as it is believed that the starter of my car is damaged since the car won’t start ,now I have to take time of work to try and fix my car which is another towing fee to get the car to the technician ..... my understanding is my starter needs fixing from the engine wash as a result of the oil spill which I believe the garage should take full responsibility and accountability for any further damages or any cost implementation
Kindly assist and advise
Regards Busi
