Bad staff morals and dishonesty!

Around late March this year, I filled my car at Shell Jeffreys Bay (Fountains Mall). I usually fill in here with no problems, however that day the petrol attendant who helped me was still drunk and disoriented. He opened the petrol cap, when he turned around he totally forgot about the open cap and walk the cover off. He slide it back in and I thought it just slides out. When I put in petrol two weeks after the cap kept on falling off. I went to Dirk Ellis VW to check out why it kept on falling off, where they discover that a small part broke off. Got the quote and went back to Shell to speak to the manager.

I spoke to him and he said he will have a look at the camera footage. A week passed without any responds, so I made contact. His responds was that I was in fault to not report it immediately, I explained that I thought it only slides out and I did not wanted the attendant to get in trouble. My biggest mistake. They spoke with him and he denied it and said it was already broken. They went with his word without taking into consideration the camera footage. My wife and I was made out to be liers and got offered two coffees 😶

The attendant **** without any remorse and now I am stuck with damage of R2 500.
