Slow down and explain

Beginners course to web design. Although advertised as a 'beginners' course, I have at times felt that, had I not done some previous experimentation with web coding etc, I might have been a bit lost, especially in regard to terminology used. The lecturer, albeit very casual and well spoken, tends to skim over some rather important details that would trip up a beginner that had never before seen source code on a web page. I don't know if this is due to certain time constraints, but I feel that, from the very first lesson, small details should be discussed (like the finer workings of Microsoft Expression Web, since she is using it) as well as maybe starting the course with a quick overview of most commonly used abbreviations, and making students aware that the program will give a drop down menu as soon as you start typing a code. I am now on lesson 3, and will complete the course. But I have to view the lesson recording after to fully comprehend all subjects discussed. Part of the reason for this is that you cannot pause the video once the class starts. Thus you cannot follow and copy what the lecturer is saying and doing, without missing the next step. Not a terrible course by any means, but a slower approach (for those who have never had any prior experience) would be beneficial.
