SHAW ACADEMY UNDERHAND PRACTICE
I app**** to register for a diploma at this institution. They give a few weeks to decide whether you like their course before billing. I didn't like the delivery method, where you have to book for a lesson at a specific time. I found that too restrictive because in my business I constantly have to change things around to accommodate business requirements. I also found the content to be too shallow, and there are no responses from the instructor on queries by students. Then, without any warning, the academy deducted my account R399. When registering, they request for your bank details, assuring you that the reason is to prevent people from making multiple registrations and ****s. I feel that the whole thing could be underhanded to fleece money from unsuspecting students. Attempting to cancel takes a life of its own. If you do it online it takes you through multiple screens that are designed to dissuade you from cancelling, giving discounts and offers if you stay on board. Similarly, when you eventually call the number provide ***, you have to make several choices just to confirm cancellation, which being dissuaded all the way. Please investigate their practice. I had to rate them with one star even though I feel they don't deserve it.
