Shaw Academy ****. What to do.

I want to give feedback to those who have been out will be 0 ****med by the ************ Shaw Academy. Firstly, do not be fooled by their 'free course' offer. Nothing in life is free. Secondly, if you do decide to take their offer, while you are enrolling, they will con you into accepting a deduction of R499 for 'course materials'. Then, when they have seen that you have done one module, they will phone you from Ireland, one of their team an Indian representatives who you can hardly understand. They will ask you a few questions, then they will ask you if you would be happy to extend the course for 3 months. If course, unsuspecting, you say yes. Then boom, a few minutes after the call, you will see your account has been debited with R999. Get hold of your bank's ***** department with a copy of the initial 'free' offer, a screen shot of the unauthorised debit and suspend the card that you used. You can't get hold of a person to talk to at Shaw, so I logged a complaint via the email address. A couple of days later, a representative phoned and wanted to offer me a lifetime membership of Shaw. I said no way and called them ********. I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't give me one. I asked for a supervisor and they promised one world call. A day later another person called with the same story. I said if they didn't refund me my money, their company would be blackened all over social media. This morning, a refund arrived in my bank account. The moral of the story is, the minute they ask for bank details, shut them down. If you carry on, rest assured they will debit you further. Lastly, threaten them with exposure on social media and handing them over to your financial institution as a ***** case. Do not commit yourself to anything before checking watchguards like Hellopeter before you buy. If it's too good to be true, it's ****.
