SHAW ACADEMY MORE DIFFICULT TO CANCEL THAN GYM MEMBERSHIP
My husband signed up for a FREE 3 month trial (which requires your bank details) and is now unable to stop the academy from debiting his account - even though he has cancelled his membership. They still debit. They do not have contact details on their website and don't respond to emails.

We have at no point taken payments from your, or any of the 5 million students we have educated, unless the student entered their payment details to a secure payment page and manually completed the transaction. In every one of our emails, landing pages, offer banners and indeed the payment page itself, we do outline that the offer presented to you was a one month free trial which would run automatically into a monthly recurring payment if not cancelled. Cancellation can be completed in your member’s login area at any time, there is no cost associated with cancellation and no contract so the payments can be cancelled at any point.

To cancel, login to your Members Area on a web browser using a Computer and click on “My Profile”, then click on "Membership & Payments" ->“Cancel Membership & Benefits”-> I understand, I want to stop learning ->No thanks, I want to end my membership & benefits-> Continue and Confirm.
