Shaw Academy is a ****!

On the 20th December 2020, I had requested to cancel all my subscriptions with Shaw Academy. I was told that I would still have access to free stuff. Then, a year later, they deducted R4100 from me without my permission. Now I'm being told that I can't get a refund because my subscription wasn't cancelled? When I expressly told them I didn't want any subscription at all. I had not accessed their platform at all because I was under the impression that everything was cancelled. Then I get told that they "had informed me of the upgrade to an annual account". Excuse me? But do I not have to agree to an upgrade? I did not agree to an upgrade at all. So they also upgraded me without my permission. I will be taking this further as clearly, my instructions and wishes were not adhered to at all! I am livid and fuming that they're doing this. I've already logged a ***** case with my bank which will take a while, but in the meantime, I'm left without R4000 on Christmas Eve. This is unbelievable. I can't believe they're still in business after treating people like this and ******** people out of their money.
