Shaw Academy "Free" Courses

Shaw Academy is offering "free" courses for a month. When signing up, you have to supply card details for your bank. If you don't, and abort the process, you get incessant emails asking you to complete the process and include these details. If you reply stating that you shouldn't need banking details if it's free, you get an automated response with a reference number. Then they reply to the reference and say you aren't on their system so they can't assist you, and round and round it goes. I would avoid a company like this when there is no person to actually speak to. It's like wrestling a cloud. Will end up blocking their constant emails. Far too many bad reviews on the internet to not take heed of the warning.

Thank you for your reply, but it doesn't answer the question. Why do you want banking details, and if you really want to communicate, just answer one of my email enquiries without an automated response. Very simple actually!

There you have it. An automated response once again. Nothing changes, and another good example of why you should be cautious about dealing with this company. The answer is a lemon!!!

Thank you. Like I said, I did Not complete the subscription because I'm not willing to give my bank details. And it seems that unless I do, I won't get an answer. Simple! Why do you need bank details if it's free? And if I do sign up and give you my bank details, it seems from other reviews that you deduct money off people's accounts despite them canceling within the 4 weeks mentioned. Bottom line. If it's truly free, remove the request for banking details!
