**** (most positive reviews are probably ****)

I don't understand how shaw academy receives all the positive reviews when it charges so many people's credit cards without their permission or tries to cheat money from people by putting these traps on their sites that are inescapable.

The storyline usually goes like this and mine happened too similarly. To get the free trial (just like the free trial of any other subscription), you enter all the personal information, including your credit card info. You think all you need to do is to cancel your subscription before the 30 days are over to not pay anything. But, it doesn't happen like that. Once you enroll in the free trial and start the courses, there are all these random windows that pop up and the exit symbol is impossible to click. The customer service claimed that I had clicked into one of those windows to indicate that I want to buy one of their certificates/ diplomas for 50 CAD. I did not nor will I ever want their certificates that are sold to you before you even start your first lesson. It doesn't make sense that they don't give you a refund because they claim that they have already allowed the customer to download the certificate when they could probably easily check that I didn't even open the file. I seems like so many people are writing these negative reviews because nobody really succeeds to getting their money back nor can you dispute the transaction. Shame on Shaw Academy for doing this during COVID.
