Just a word of warning about Shaw Academy. I was foolish enough to try to use them to receive online education in the field of Audio Engineering. I thought it couldn’t hurt to take advantage of the Free Month of classes. Once I signed up, watched the first module and looked to take the next step, I was informed that the Toolkit was needed to continue. Except the Toolkit was 20 bucks. I then realized that this was not actually a Free Month but a ****. When I called customer service to cancel my account I stupidly allowed myself to be talked into another 2 weeks Free, and that they would also open the First Toolkit FREE, so so could get the complete experience of their offering and maybe I might reconsider. I relented with no intention of continuing the course and left it at that. Well what do you know in Mid January I was charged on my credit card for..... you guessed it, the toolkit. It was offered to me free and they charged me for it anyway. Now the billing department will not refund the charge that I didn’t authorize and state that I accepted the terms and services once I unlocked it. See the thing is, they unlocked it and said there would be no charge. I admit I was stupid to trust this was a reputable business in this first place. If you are considering this company for any of their offerings don’t waste you time. They are a complete ****.
